What lies behind the coffee, tea and other drinks we enjoy every day? Where do their ingredients come from, what environmental and social impacts are associated with their production and supply chains, and how can our everyday choices contribute to a more sustainable future?
The Allez l’Éco Sustainable Coffee Shop Crawl invites young people, volunteers and sustainability enthusiasts to explore these questions through a practical and engaging experience in Luxembourg City.
From learning to climate action
The initiative is one of the outcomes of the ongoing training activities of the Erasmus+ project Allez l’Éco, coordinated by GaiaLux in collaboration with its European partners.
Through online training sessions and hands-on workshops, young people and volunteers are learning how to plan, organise and communicate more sustainable events. Together, they are exploring practical ways to apply sustainability principles, from responsible consumption and local supply chains to waste reduction and social inclusion, drawing on the project Allez l’Éco Learning syllabus and the Allez l’Éco e-Guide
The Coffee Shop Crawl puts this learning into practice, transforming the city into an opportunity to discover, observe and reflect on sustainability in our everyday lives.
Explore, observe and discover good practices
During the walk, participants will visit selected coffee shops in Luxembourg City, explore their sustainability practices and assess them using a checklist based on the Allez l’Éco e-Guide.
Looking beyond the cup, we will consider the choices and practices that can make a difference, from sourcing and waste management to resource efficiency and more responsible consumption.
The aim is not simply to identify good practices, but also to encourage dialogue, share ideas and inspire more sustainable choices among consumers and local businesses.
The initiative is an EU Climate Pact Ambassador Action, promoted by fellow EU Climate Pact Ambassadors to encourage citizens to take local climate action and recognise how everyday choices can contribute to broader environmental change.
Be part of the initiative!
